The Holocaust finally ended in 1945. It had gone on for a very long time. After the Germans surrendered, the American soldiers and allied soldiers went to concentration camps and freed all the victims who had been held captive there. Even though they were all getting freed, not every camp was freed. Some camps were isolated and were not found for a while longer, which was definitely horrible for the people held there. Even after everyone was freed, nobody will ever forget the horrible images that they have experienced. A lot of the victims that are still alive wake up in the middle of the night because they had nightmares about the Holocaust. Most of them tell their stories and like informing people about what they had been through, and most of them will never see their family members again.
The picture above shows a group of Holocuast survivors who meet to talk about their similarities with each other.
